Our Journey

In 2009, the LORD clearly said to me, ‘I am sending you to England.’ He then supernaturally provided for visas, flights, etc. My wife Kerry & I, Jonathan, resigned from our jobs, gave away all our possessions, and as a family, left South Africa & arrived in the UK, not knowing what the future held, but excited to be on God’s adventure. In September 2017, the LORD provided for us to visit family in South Africa. During that time, the LORD kept speaking to me about rivers. Ezekiel 47:9 was highlighted, where it speaks of the river of God. Several people confirmed what I’d been sensing, that the Lord wanted to partner with us in starting a church. As a couple, little did we know our prayer and worship in our lounge and our community outreach of giving food, clothes, and furniture to those in need, was our beginning. In October 2017, we officially launched Riverway church, and since then, we have had many opportunities to serve our Aylesbury community.

As a Church community based in Aylesbury, we choose to partner with GOD in transforming lives. To better understand us, we use the acronym LIFE In Ezekiel 47:9, it says, ‘’where the river flows, there is LIFE.’’ Jesus did what His Father did. Like Jesus, we choose to be LED by our Father in everything. His agenda is our agenda. (Jn 5:19) 

We are genuinely INTERESTED in others. We believe  FREEDOM is through God's Word and presence.  ‘Where the Spirit of the LORD is, there is freedom.’ (Jn 8:32;)

Our Bible study groups, Foundation Course for new believers, Spiritual gifts, Leadership courses, etc are intentional to  EQUIP and send out disciples to advance our Father’s kingdom.

Community Outreach

As a registered charity (1201897), we receive regular donations of food, clothes & furniture from our Riverway Church & the Aylesbury community, which we distribute to those in need in Aylesbury.

Women's Ministries

Our Aylesbury Women’s Centre supports women with The Freedom Programme, The Flourish aftercare programme, Counselling services, and various educational courses to help women, especially those who have experienced domestic violence. They support moms and children with the half-term Munchies lunch project and a weekly baby bank.

Men's Ministries

Our men hold 3 key values in our togetherness: Praise, Serve, and Protect. (PSP) They enjoy a good breakfast, chatting around a fire for a BBQ, prayer ministry, and other social activities.

Children's Ministries

We have allocated spaces for children with fun activities, Bible teaching, and safeguarding measures in place.

  Jonathan and Kerry, De Gee

Jonathan enjoys family times, music, swimming, football, motorcycling, reading, chess, and playing golf. He loves to see people come to faith in Christ. He enjoys teaching God’s Word, which led him to earn an Associate Degree in Theology, and he has a passion for pioneering a local Church. 

Kerry loves spending time with family and friends, swimming, tennis, cooking, and motorcycling. She has written ‘My journey of forgiveness’ and is currently working on additional booklets. She is passionate about sharing the Gospel and serving our community in practical ways. 

Denzil and Claudia, Myrie

Denzil is a devoted husband, dad, and friend who loves people and community. He enjoys biking, has a long career in construction, and is passionate about mentoring young people.

Claudia is a devoted parent and foster parent. She is passionate about God's vision for family, which includes supporting families at our Aylesbury Women's Centre. She loves music, dancing, and has a company that is dedicated to writing children's books, inspiring young minds with every story.
